On October 4, 2018 at 17:00 in Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbasy opening of the thematic book exhibition "Spirituality Pillars" devoted to the VI Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions will take place.

At the opening ceremony, the first Deputy Director of the Library of Elbasy, Ph.D. in Political Science, Professor Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov and a statesman, doctor of philosophy, Professor, academician of NAS of Kazakhstan Garifolla Esim will make welcoming remarks.

In the collection of the Library of Elbasy accumulated a large layer of sources on the history of the unique, unparalleled forum-Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions, which every three years gathers in Astana representatives of the most influential persons in the field of clergy and puts on the agenda topical issues that require joint decisions at the international level. A special place in the collections of the Library of Elbasy is a collection of books, including the genuine rarities of the spiritual culture.

The history of world and traditional religions, philosophical doctrines and practices is of interest to many scientists from around the world. The exhibition "Pillars of spirituality" presents more than 200 publications, including sacred books of world religions, scientific monographs, works on the history of art and architecture. Publications different in content and genres introduce not only the history of the origin and development of religions, but also the continuity of spiritual traditions through time and space. An extensive collection of books allows you to learn more about the world and traditional religions, each of them is a "pillar of spirituality".

The real pride of the Museum collection of the Library of Elbasy is a collection of Korans. The exceptional feature of this collection is that among the books are publications of the rare Fund of the Library, original manuscripts, which are dated the 18-19th centuries. Most publications were presented to N. Nazarbayev as diplomatic gifts from representatives of foreign countries. The design of each book is characterized by fine jewelry, art and calligraphic work, reflecting the exquisite images of traditional Islamic culture. which is an integral part of the world cultural heritage.


The exhibition "pillars of spirituality" will last till January 30, 2019.
