Leading researcher of the Service of Social, Humanitarian and Educational Projects of the Library of Elbassy Aslan Azerbaev took part in the Republican round table "Methodological Approaches to the Study of Everyday Stalinism: Stalinist Peasants," organized by the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch. Valikhanov of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan. The event was held online.
The museum of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy, located in the building of the first Residence of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbassy N. Nazarbayev, has reopened its doors to visitors since September 3 this year. Free sightseeing and thematic excursions are held on advance appointments for groups of no more than ten people.
The project "100 new personalities of Kazakhstan", initiated by Elbassy, was a breakthrough in opening new names in our country. Over the past three years, Kazakhstanis have learned about two hundred successful compatriots who make a valuable contribution to the development of Kazakhstan. Sports, science, culture, business, medicine, society - in each of these spheres, there are those who make their lives and those around them better and more effective. In 2019, Assel Zhanasova was the winner in the "Society" category.
This year marks the 555th anniversary of the Kazakh khanate. Since 2015, when the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy N. A. Nazarbayev first announced the idea of celebrating the 550th anniversary, there has been a growing interest of the public in the history of the emergence and development of the khanate, the personalities of the Kazakh khans.
On August 28, as part of the events dedicated to the International Day against Nuclear Tests, leading researcher of the Library of Elbassy, candidate of historical sciences Sagintay Berdagulova held a webinar "Nursultan Nazarbayev is the recognized leader of the global anti-nuclear movement" for teachers of the capital's colleges.

On the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the year of the 185th anniversary of the birth of Sh. Ualikhanov, the Library of the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbassy features a virtual exhibition of "one exhibit". The exhibit is not an item from the museum collection, but a document that is a valuable archival source on the history of the customary law of the Kazakhs, written in the second half of the XIX century by the great Kazakh scientist Shokan Ualikhanov.

10 years ago, on August 29, 2010, the world celebrated for the first time the International Day against Nuclear Tests, which was established by a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly. It calls for raising awareness "of the consequences of nuclear weapon test explosions or any other nuclear explosions and the need to stop them as a means to achieve a nuclear-weapon-free world". This resolution was initiated by Kazakhstan in honor of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site on August 29, 1991.
On August 27, a webinar "Ata Zań - táýelsіzdіktіń tіregі" was held for the volunteers of the Library of Elbassy. The event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared 2020 - the Year of the Volunteer in Kazakhstan. This was announced by the Head of state at the opening ceremony of the Republican front office of volunteers "Birgemiz".
