17.01.2020 | EXCURSIONS FOR STUDENTS OF THE CAPITAL'S SCHOOLS CONTINUE

In the Library of Elbassy continues a decade of themed tours. Every day in the building of the Nazarbayev Center, students in the capital get new knowledge about the history of the country's main city and the entire state. In the course of communication with the Library staff, the children expand their horizons, learning historical facts not only about Kazakhstan but also the life and work of the First President of the country.

16.01.2020 | OPEN LESSON IN THE LIBRARY OF THE NATION

On January 16 this year, an open ethnographic and interactive lesson "My family tree is a part of the genealogy of our country" from the series "Exhibits spoke..." was held in the Library of Elbassy with the participation of kids of the capital's kindergarten No. 75 "Balalyk Shak".

15.01.2020 | THE PROJECT «MANGILIK EL ALAPTARY». ILYAS ESENBERLIN

This year marks the 105th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazakh writer, playwright, winner of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR Ilyas Esenberlin. The creator of the "Nomads" and "Altyn Orda" trilogies is the first author to write such a large-scale work of fiction about national history.  In his work, as a historical novelist, I. Esenberlin for the first time gave a detailed artistic description of the life of the ancient nomadic people. 

14.01.2020 | A DECADE OF THEMATIC EXCURSIONS HAS STARTED IN THE LIBRARY OF ELBASSY

Thematic tours are an opportunity to plunge into the world of historical facts, events, unique artifacts and memorabilia, archival photos and documents. Guides of the Library of Elbassy tell in detail about the most important historical stages of the formation of the independence of the state, based on thematic expositions from the book and museum collections. Today, students of the school № 77 of Nur-Sultan received an opportunity to touch the history of Kazakhstan.

13.01.2020 | «LOTUS FLOWER TOWER». REPLENISHMENT OF THE MUSEUM COLLECTION OF THE LIBRARY OF ELBASSY

In the new year, the collection of the museum fund of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy replenished a bronze panel "Lotus flower tower". It depicts one of the holy shrines of Vietnam - the Chua Mot Cot pagoda. The artistic engraving is a memorial gift from the Ambassador of the Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Nguyen Thi Hong Oanh. The Chua Mot Cot pagoda is also called the Temple of Remote Salvation and the Lotus Flower Tower. Along with the Perfume Temple, it is considered the most famous pagoda in Vietnam. The history of Chua Mot Cot dates back to 1049, during the reign of Emperor Li Thai Tong.

10.01.2020 | THE PROJECT «ULY DALA TARLANDARY». GALYM NURLANOV

Galym Nurlanov began to lose his sight in elementary school. He could no longer study at an ordinary school, so he asked his parents to transfer him to a boarding school for the blind and visually impaired in Taraz. As Galym himself recalls, this was a turning point in his life. In the new environment, he was able to open up, make new friends, among whom, as it turned out, was his future wife. In 2019, Galym Nurlanov became the winner of the project "100 new faces of Kazakhstan". Today, he runs a special library for the blind and visually impaired in Nur-Sultan.

08.01.2020 | BOOK COLLECTIONS OF THE LIBRARY OF ELBASSY. «THE GREAT STEPPE IN ANCIENT AND BYZANTINE SOURCES»

The third, revised and expanded edition «The Great Steppe in ancient and Byzantine sources» supplemented the book collection of the Library of Elbassy. This is the most extensive collection of information of ancient and Byzantine sources about the peoples of the Eurasian steppe and their neighbors from the 12th century BC to the 15th century AD. Its compiler and editor is a famous Turkologist, Doctor of Philology, Professor Alexander Garkavets.  

05.01.2020 | FIRST EXCURSIONS IN 2020

The first days of the new year were marked for the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbassy by a large influx of visitors of the capital: residents of other cities of our country and foreign tourists. Only from 3 to 5 January this year, both buildings of the Elbassy Library were visited by more than 1,000 people. The most numerous groups of foreign tourists came from neighboring China and Russia.

05.01.2020 | THE 100 ANNIVERSARY OF THE NEWSPAPER «KAZAKHSTANSKAYA PRAVDA»

The national newspaper "Kazakhstanskaya Pravda" celebrates the centenary. On January 1, 1920, the first issue of the progenitor of the current "Kazpravda" – the newspaper "Izvestia of the Kyrgyz territory" was published.  Then it was a weekly newspaper - information on one printed sheet was published on Thursdays.
