A GIFT TO ELBASSY FROM THE CZECH GLASS-BLOWER

On September 27, the exhibition of Jiri Pacinek "glass garden" organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kazakhstan opened at the national Museum of Kazakhstan.

- Traditional Czech glass has always been famous in the world. Arriving in Kazakhstan as an Ambassador, I wanted to acquaint the people of this country with the national culture and art of the Czech Republic. Our countries are similar in their love of arts and crafts. For this reason I wanted to bring the exhibition of Jiri Pecink. In this exhibition, visitors will see an example of the workshop of traditional Czech glass and be able to communicate directly with the master, - said Ambassador of the Czech Republic Rudolf Gikl at the opening of the exhibition.

Exhibitions of the famous modern manufacturer of art glass Jiri Pachinek were held in many countries: India, China, Malaysia, Pakistan, USA, etc. The exhibition is held in Kazakhstan for the first time. Thanking the people of Kazakhstan for the warm welcome and hospitality, the master said that he had prepared a special gift for Elbassy N. Nazarbayev.

- As a child, I loved to watch different movies. I was impressed by one of the films, which showed a family of glassblowers, engaged in the creation of various products and complex sculptures of glass. Then I realized what profession I want to devote my life to. The elegant and light glass sculptures presented at the exhibition are the result of hard and long work. Kazakhstani people are also interested in this painstaking work, which requires a lot of patience. I am very pleased that your compatriots come to our country to learn this profession. They are industrious people who are not afraid of hard work. I was once again convinced of it, having arrived here. I liked the culture and traditions of the Kazakh people, their hospitality and desire for beauty. I am very glad to see Kazakhstan dynamically developing and prospering. I brought a gift for the founder of independent Kazakhstan Nursultan Abishevich. Let me give it to Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, - said Jiri Pachinek and presented a sculpture of yellow-orange glass depicting two winged unicorns holding a disk symbolizing the sun.

"Let the future of your country be as pure as glass, and credibility more valuable than gold," the artist wished.

A. Rakhimzhanov thanked I. Pachinek for a gift for Elbassy, noted the similarity of the donated sculpture with the national emblem of Kazakhstan, stressing how important these images are for the Kazakh people.
