On February 28, 2011 in the Museum of the First President of RК within the limits of the international project «Dialogue through culture» took place a musical evening «Hungarian rhapsodies», organized together with the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary to Kazakhstan. The musical evening opened a number of the festive events devoted to the 20th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the opening ceremony of the musical evening were made speech of welcome by: the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hungary in the Republic of Kazakhstan Imre Laslotski, the vice-minister of culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.I. Buribayev, the director of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sagyngali А.S.
The musical evening «Hungarian rhapsodies» - is the first and unique musical event in the cultural life of Astana, devoted to Hungarian presidency of the Council of the European Union and celebration of Franz Liszts 200th Birth Anniversary. The guests of the evening had fine possibility to be convinced that the Hungarian music within many centuries was an integral part of the great European culture.
The piano concert of F. Liszts works was performed by the known Hungarian pianist, maestro D. Oravec (Budapest symphonic orchestra). The guests could see the exhibition telling about the history and the culture of Hungary and the creative biography of Franz Liszt.
