A competition of social projects will be held on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation
On the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Public Association "Regional development" (RDA) to support the development of civil society, Sustainable development goals, including state programs in various fields, begins a competition of social projects, which will cover organizations and associations operating in the non-profit area, as well as civil groups.
The competition is open to projects aimed at the development of science and education, support of innovative ideas, environmental protection, solving various issues of social orientation, etc.

On July 3, Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva took part in an entertainment program organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for children deprived of parental care.
Heydar Aliyev Foundation gathered children in one of the coastal recreation places of the capital – Dalga Beach Recreation Center. Children who came to the event on special buses were met by fairy-tale characters. Residents of orphanages number 1 in the Nizami district, number 2 of the Surakhansky district, number 3 of the Khatai district, the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Down Syndrome, and Integration Education Boarding School No. 11 felt the warmth of the summer season and spent a sunny day in the open air.

The Cinema Club of the Yeltsin Center on June 24 hosted a special guest-actress of theatre and cinema Victoria Tolstoganova. Two films with the participation of the actress were presented in the program of the festival –these are "Storm" by Gregory of Constantinople and "Above the sky" by Oksana Karas. Participation in the melodrama "Above the sky" was awarded the prize for "Best actress".
For three days from 27 to 29 June at the Yeltsin Centre "Inclusive laboratory of dance: Dance matters" special training for everyone was held.
Master classes in choreography helped special participants to train their skills in social communication, to learn to understand themselves and to feel a partner, to become one with him. Zara Harutyunyan – is a psychologist, sociologist, and psychotherapist. For many years, she has been researching the psychology of violence and trauma therapy, advising people with depression and suicidal tendencies, as well as people with palliative diagnoses.
Naina Yeltsina opened a bench on the embankment of the Iset
On July 28, Naina Yeltsina opened a memorial bench on the embankment of the Iset River. The bench was designed by BERNASCONI architectural bureau, whose idea was realized by the Yekaterinburg company Rigel.
The bench is made and installed at the personal expense of Naina Yeltsina. On the back, there is a plate with the inscription: "For those who love. Like me and Boris. Naina Yeltsina. 2019".

5 July 2019 marks 230 years since the birth of the Faddey Venediktovich Bulgarin (1789-1859), a writer, critic, and successful publisher. The electronic fund of the Presidential library contains all seven volumes of the writer's works, his critical articles, journal polemics, memoirs and letters characterizing him, on the one hand, as a devoted friend of Griboyedov, on the other – as a constant target for the sharp epigrams of Pushkin, Vyazemsky, Baratynsky. In the history of Russian literature, Bulgarin remained as an enterprising organizer of a new journal business for Russia and the author of several outstanding works.
Electronic biographical resources of the Presidential library were replenished with another collection - "P. Chaadayev (1794-1856)". Pyotr Chaadaev - a Russian philosopher, thinker, publicist - continues to live in his works, published letters, memoirs of contemporaries, research papers and other materials included in the collection dedicated to his 225th- anniversary.

Presidential library – on the anniversary of the legendary battle of Stalingrad
77 years ago, on July 17, 1942, the battle of Stalingrad began. The victory of the Red army in this battle without exaggeration can be called a turning point in the Great Patriotic war. The Nazis could not recover after Stalingrad.

Newly renovated Eisenhower museum reopens in Kansas
A museum honoring President Dwight Eisenhower in his childhood home in Kansas reopened Monday after undergoing its first comprehensive renovation since the 1970s. The modernized exhibits in the 25,000-square-foot (2,322-sq. meter) museum in Abilene feature new display cases, videos and digital interactive stations where visitors learn about Eisenhower’s presidency from 1953 to 1961 and about his experience before that during World War II — when he was a U.S. Army general who served as supreme commander of the Allied forces.
