On September 16, 2016 in the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan the professor of So-Katoku Ikenobo Ms. Midori Yamada made the master class of Ikebana art.
The event was organized in assistance with the Embassy of Japan to RK in the limits of the international project of the Museum «Dialogue through culture». The participants of the master class had an opportunity to comprehend the secrets of ikebana art, to make a bouquet themselves, and also to visit the exhibition of Ms. Yamada’s works.
Ms. Midori Yamada is a founder and the first president of Ikenobo in Russia, the Cavalier of “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays”, the master of the tea ceremony of Omotesenke school and Sumi-e Japanese painting. Ms. Yamada for 25 years has been conducting the courses and the master classes in many cities of Russia, Turkmenistan, Tatarstan, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia and Kazakhstan.
Ikebana is a generation of the Japanese way of life. This art form is created by the nation which for centuries educated in itself ability to address to the nature, as to an inexhaustible treasury of fine. Originality and soleness, refinement and daintiness, variety of forms and styles of the ikebana allows this art form to come home to many people of the whole world.
