The monument to Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev will be made according to the project of people's artist Khanlar Akhmedov.

 By the decision of the jury, out of 26 projects submitted to the open sculpture competition held by the Ministry of Culture, the executive authority of Baku and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to create a monument to Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev, Khanlar Akhmedov's project was chosen as the winner.

 The monument to Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev will be installed on the site near the Icheri Sheher metro station (Istiglaliyat street).

Obama Presidential Center Obamas to speak in Chicago about proposed presidential center

CHICAGO -- Barack and Michelle Obama will speak next month at a summit in Chicago focused on the vision for the Obama Presidential Center. The event will include young leaders from around the world and participants of programs run by the Obama Foundation. It's the third such summit. The summit will show how the Obama Presidential Center "connects to a growing global network of leaders," according to organizers.

The $500 million center is expected to house a public library branch, house multimedia collections and have community programs, among other things.

Truman Library Construction begins at Truman Presidential Library

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — The Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum has been closed for more than a month and a lot of progress has already been made as the building is in the early stages of a $30 million transformation. The work being done now is the culmination of several years of planning and fundraising. Construction crews are already tearing down parts of the east entrance to the building, which will become a new grand entrance when the building opens sometime in the fall of 2020.
