WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE HEYDAR ALIYEV FOUNDATION, COCHLEAR IMPLANTATION OPERATIONS HAVE STARTED FOR HEARING-IMPAIRED CHILDREN

 

With the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, cochlear implantation operations have begun for a group of children of various ages with hearing impairments. The project as a whole will cover up to 90 people.

In 2015, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation implemented the "Cochlear implantation" program. At the next stage, with the support of the Foundation, cochlear implantation operations were continued.

BRING YOUR OWN BEAMER VOL. 7: APPLICATIONS OPEN

The Art Gallery of the Yeltsin Center opens accepting applications for participation in the one-day exhibition Bring Your Own Beamer Vol.7. This time the theme of the project will be "Hyperreality of happiness".

The project's philosophy is expressed in its name. This is an exhibition with open participation, but a preliminary selection: the Art gallery will host artists working with light installations, media art and video along with their projectors for one evening. The idea of such exhibitions belongs to the Berlin artist Raphael Rosendaal and has existed since 2010. The exhibition in this format will be held for the seventh time at the Yeltsin Center Art gallery in Yekaterinburg.

SEVEN COLORS OF HAPPINESS IN UZBEKISTAN

The branch of the Presidential library of the Republic of Belarus in the Residence of the President of the Republic of Belarus continues the tradition of costumed book reviews of national cultures.

On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan (September 1), a review of the book exhibition on Uzbek literature with a national color "Seven colors of happiness in Uzbekistan" was held. Both readers and librarians were dressed in costumes made of multicolored silk and khan-atlas, made using ikat technology.

The exhibition featured not only artistic translations of Uzbek writers into Belarusian and Russian, but also books on folk arts and crafts, the aesthetics of painting, the history and theory of architecture of Uzbekistan.

VIRTUAL TOUR OF THE PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION TELLS HOW THE SOUTH AND NORTH POLE WERE CONQUERED

On August 5, the day of the completion of the first Russian Antarctic expedition (1819-1821), the Presidential Library of the Russian Federation invites at its portal to visit remotely an exhibition dedicated to the geographical discoveries of the polar regions: the Arctic and Antarctica.

A virtual tour of the exhibition "Extend the world's boundaries within the globe: to the 200th anniversary of the discovery of Antarctica by the expedition of F. Bellingshausen and M. Lazarev" tells about the expeditions of Russian navigators and the history of the Russian presence in the polar regions of our planet, about the heroic discoveries and development of the polar regions, about scientific activities and mining in the most inaccessible areas of the Earth. The exhibition, in particular, presents rare books, geographical maps, little-known photographs.
