Today, on September 4, a visiting exhibition of the Library of Elbassy, as part of the mobile exhibition project "N. Nazarbayev: epoch, personality, society", continued its work at the school named after Saken Seyfullin in the city of Shu.
The VIII international Symposium of Altai nationalities was held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. It was attended by delegations from 15 countries and over 150 scientists from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Russia, Korea, Japan, China, etc. Leading researcher of the Library of Elbassy Gaziz Telebaev was among the Kazakh delegates. He made a report on the culture of horsemanship in the Orkhon-Yenisei monuments of writing.

On August 30, 1995, the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted by popular referendum. This day is a public holiday - Constitution Day. The Library of Elbassy organized the exhibition "the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the guarantor of independence" dedicated to the 24th anniversary of the adoption of the basic law.
The new issue of the project "Book collections of the Library of Elbassy" introduces readers to the works of Kazakh authors - our contemporaries, which recently supplemented the book fund of the Library of Elbassy.
Among the new books received by the Library of Elbassy, the works of writer, folklorist, ethnographer Bayakhmet Zhumabayuly published in 2018.
The meeting was attended by members of the Bureau of the Political Council, government, factions from the Mazhilis and Maslikhat, leaders of the regional branches of the party and their deputies, representatives of primary party organizations.
In accordance with the agenda, the extended meeting discussed the implementation of the party's election program and the decisions of the Congresses, the main directions of the party reset and the issue of making changes to the Bureau of the Political Council.
August 15 is the birthday of the famous Kazakh composer Shamshi Kaldayakov. He was born in 1930 in Kyzylkum district of South Kazakhstan region (Temirlanovka village, Syrdarya region, Kazakh ASSR, RSFSR).

Kenes Baibosynov, Kulyash Amirova, Aisha Abisheva, as well as the wife and daughter of Kasym Zhurumbayev - Banu and Dina Zhurumbayeva came from Almaty. The guests toured the expositions of the Library and shared their memories of school years.
Today, the world celebrates Hiroshima Day – a city that has become a symbol of the struggle for the prohibition of nuclear weapons. The terrible events of 1945, when a Japanese city of many thousands of residents was wiped out, will remain forever in the memory of mankind. Kazakhstanis also experienced the terrible consequences of nuclear weapons tests. Echoes of the largest nuclear test site in the world that was in the Semipalatinsk region of Kazakhstan are still heard. Several generations of the Kazakh people have experienced this "heritage" on themselves.
Twenty years ago on this day, on August 6, 1999, First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy Nursultan Nazarbayev made a working trip to Astana (now Nur-Sultan), during which he addressed the citizens at H.Munaitpasov stadium on the occasion of bestowing the capital of Kazakhstan the honorary title of UNESCO "City of peace".
Over these twenty years, Nur-Sultan has become not only a political, economic and cultural center of independent Kazakhstan but also a major center of diplomacy, peacemaking and international development.
