«Golden» hall of the first residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in new capital 1997 – 2004

Exposition «In the heart of Eurasia»

«Golden» hall hosted high-level talks with foreign states’ delegations, meetings and conversations of Elbasy N. A. Nazarbayev with citizens of Kazakhstan, representatives of international, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and foreign business circles.

The memorial status of the hall is illustrated by a set of archival materials that captured the meetings and discussions held here, in particular: the moment of approval of the master plan for the development of the capital, proposed by the architect Kisho Kurokawa in 1998.

Currently, the exposition “In the Heart of Eurasia” dedicated to the history of Kazakhstan at the turn of the XX-XXI centuries, is represented in the “Golden” hall. This period is full of important events in the history of the new capital’s construction, the beginning of the country's development program until 2030, economic reforms and dynamic development of the young state’s foreign policy.
