The Library of Elbasy announces the international contest "Generation of Independence" among children and youth for the best art object in the genre of fine and decorative arts.

The contest is organized by the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation, the Education Department of Nur-Sultan, the Children's Art School - UNESCO Club of Nur-Sultan and the International Union of Art Teachers.
         The aim of the competition is to develop and popularize traditional folk arts and crafts, all types of artistic and decorative and applied creativity by identifying and supporting talented students of specialized art colleges and schools in Kazakhstan and foreign countries.
         Students of art schools, Palaces of schoolchildren, art studios and art colleges of the countries of the near and far abroad are invited to participate in 3 age groups:10-12 years, 13-15 years and 16-18 years.
         Works in fine art (watercolors, gouache, acrylics, color graphics) and decorative and applied art (wood carving, batik, felt-making, textile collage, engraving) are accepted.
         Works are accepted until May 30, 2021, at the address: 17 Bogenbai Batyr Avenue, Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan. UNESCO Children's Art School-Club.
The contestants' works will be evaluated by a jury of artists, members of the Union of Teachers of Artists, and leading masters of decorative and applied arts.
         The results of the international contest will be announced on the eve of the Day of the Capital. The exhibition will feature the most spectacular and meaningful works, the exhibition will also include masterclasses by leading painters and masters of decorative and applied arts, an excursion program to the sights of Nur-Sultan.
